Happy Holidays to you and yours!
I’ve finally completed Miracle on South 52nd Street, and I hope you enjoy it. Many of you know me as a painter, and some are aware that I’ve also taught stop-motion animation, motion graphics, and rotoscoping since 2005 to children and adults. I'll basically work with whatever tools I have available. Everything I make is always a work in progress for me and always evolving as I am. This little film was created to honor and celebrate the rich history of 52nd Street. I was born and raised in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, but 52nd Street has always held a special place in my heart. This story blends history and fiction. My hope is that it inspires you to explore the real history of 'The Strip' its artists, community, entrepreneurs, shops, and memories.
You’ll notice different visual styles throughout the film. Not perfect, but I love experimenting, and this piece combines several visual techniques in one story. There are so many venues I wish I could have included, but I hope this sparks beautiful conversations of shared memories. Oh, and don’t miss the final moment after the credits and final song. Check out Miracle on South 52nd Street here and at PAULTV.app . Turn the volume up and enjoy.
