In Philadelphia, nearly 1 in 7 residents is age 65 or older a number that seems to grow each year. But it still seems as though, stories about elders are often overlooked. I started Next Chapter Romances after something I witnessed back in 2014, my first year working and volunteering at various older adult centers across the city. That year, I was so tickled to learn that there was a couple at one of the centers, in their mid-seventies, preparing for their wedding. The bride was giddy & glowing. The groom had a quiet calm, but I could tell he was so excited. lol
But that experience stayed with me because it reminded me that love doesn’t belong to just one chapter of life. It continues.So here goes the first episode of the audio story, The Window Seat.
